1. Who We Are

Sir Isaac Newton Education Center ("SINE," "we," "us," or "our") is a private education center serving students in Trinity and Land O' Lakes, Florida. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you use any SINE platform or program, including SINE Math (K–8 curriculum), SINE High School Math, the MATH 2060 supplemental program, and any future SINE programs (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. We designed this policy to be direct, readable, and honest — not to bury important information in legal language.

Plain-language summary: We collect only what we need to run your child's math program. We do not sell data. We do not advertise. We do not share information with third parties except the essential services that power our platform. Parents have full control.

2. Information We Collect

Account information (parents): When a parent enrolls, we collect the parent's name, email address, and payment information. Payment is processed by a third-party payment processor; we store only a payment reference token — never your full card number.

Student profile information: We collect the student's first name, last name, grade level, and a system-assigned username. We do not collect student email addresses, phone numbers, photographs, or social media identifiers.

Learning activity data: As students use the platform we record drill session results (questions answered, score, time), quiz scores, advancement history, and current curriculum level. This data powers the progress reports visible to parents.

Parental consent records: We retain your e-signature, consent timestamp, and the version of the agreement you signed as required by COPPA and our internal compliance policy.

Technical data: We log IP addresses and browser type only for security purposes (fraud detection and unauthorized access investigation). We delete access logs after 30 days. We do not use this data for profiling or marketing.

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect student photographs, social security numbers, financial information for students, biometric identifiers, geolocation data, device contacts or calendars, or any information unrelated to the math program.

3. How We Use Information

We do not use student data to build behavioral profiles, target advertising, or make automated decisions that affect students outside the curriculum.

4. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share data only with the essential service providers that power the platform:

Provider Purpose Data Shared Student Data?
Cloud database & authentication provider Secure data storage and user authentication All platform data (encrypted at rest) Yes — stored securely
Third-party payment processor Payment processing Parent billing information only No student data
Cloud hosting provider Web application hosting Application code and request logs Technical logs only

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of a student or the public. We will notify affected families before any such disclosure to the extent permitted by law.

5. Children Under 13 — COPPA Compliance

The SINE platform is designed for K–12 students and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We never collect personal information from a child under 13 without prior verifiable parental consent.

Verifiable parental consent: Before a student account is activated, a parent or legal guardian must complete our enrollment form and digitally sign our Parental Consent Agreement. We record your name, email, timestamp, and the agreement version. No student account is accessible until this consent is on file.

What parents can do at any time:

No targeted advertising to children. We do not use student data for targeted or behavioral advertising, and we do not share it with any advertising network.

COPPA contact: Questions or requests regarding a child's data should be directed to privacy@sirisaacnewtoneducationcenter.com or by mail to the address in Section 11.

Despite these measures, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects student personal information, we will notify affected parents within 72 hours of discovery, in accordance with applicable law.

9. State Privacy Rights

Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA): We do not use student data for targeted advertising. We do not build a profile of a student for non-educational purposes. We do not sell student information.
